Lecturer/Asst Professor of Practice, Honors #603104

Northern Arizona University's Honors College invites applicants for a full-time Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Practice depending on experience. The successful candidate will teach science-based Honors courses. The faculty member will advise and mentor Honors students in the Honors Capstone Pathway while helping to prepare Honors students for successful application for careers and advanced degrees. The successful candidate will teach four sections of writing-intensive, interdisciplinary courses per semester, which may include: HON 190: Seminar in Critical Reading and Writing; HON 293: Honors Topic Seminar; and HON 393: Honors Advanced Seminar. Class topics will vary depending on the content specialties of the successful candidate and the needs of the College. The position is for the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 semesters, with the possibility of annual renewal contingent upon College needs, funding and performance evaluations. 

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants will have a M.S. degree; experience teaching Honors science students at the college level; demonstrated effectiveness in undergraduate teaching; and the ability to teach writing and a wide variety of innovative liberal studies science courses.

Annual Salary: Commensurate with experience.
