The Department of Political Science at Case Western Reserve University seeks qualified candidates for a one-year position in US Politics, at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) or Visiting Instructor, for the academic year 2017-18. This is a one-year position with the possibility of an additional one-year period.

Upper-division courses are open, in terms of expertise and interest, although we are in particular need of courses in politics and the mass media, environmental politics and policy, the politics of race and ethnicity, and American political thought. The strongest candidates will be those able to offer our course in Political Science Research Methods.  Candidates should identify in the application letter the courses they are prepared to teach. The conventional teaching load for this position is two courses per semester. ABD required, PhD preferred.
