Temporary, live-in position for Ithaca College Suzuki Institute. Responsible for supervising program participants in the residence hall and for coordinating social, recreational, and other co-curricular activities and providing supervision of college-age student assistants. In addition, responsible for enforcement and implementation of Department of Health rules and regulations regarding operation of summer residential programs.
Position/Job Responsibilities
1. Live in residence hall and supervise program participants in the residence hall. Ensure physical safety and the overall well-being of program participants.
2. Provide supervision of program participants within the residence halls and coordinate social and recreational activities; serve as a role model both personally and professionally.
3. Provide supervision of college-age student assistants living in the residence halls and who will be working with the program participants.
4. Enforce and implement Department of Health rules and regulations regarding operation of summer residential programs.
5. Store medications and dispense medications for program participants; comply with other regulations as required by the Department of Health.
Position/Job Qualifications
Strong leadership skills and experience planning and organizing events for pre-college students; demonstrated understanding of human, social, and educational development; genuine interest in working with a diverse group of children in a college residence hall environment are required. Ability to attend a health and safety meeting and the ability to practice and adhere to the methods and guidelines as stated in the Ithaca College Suzuki program safety and medical plan.
