About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: A high-volume research lab at the University of Chicago Biological Science Division is looking for a motivated and technologically-minded recruiter to join our team. We seek a clear communicator, quick learner and savvy problem-solver to recruit and schedule eligible participants for multiple sessions in several concurrent research studies. Recruiter for psychiatric research studies will recruit, schedule, screen and track participants for eligibility in research studies in human psychopharmacology. The recruiter will: Work closely with faculty and staff in identifying and enrolling appropriate candidates with attention to inclusion/exclusion criteria; Manage screening room calendars and usage; Coordinate research volunteers with laboratory personnel, nursing staff and physicians; Maintain database of participants' demographic and screening data; Perform data entry, management and analysis using standardized computer software; Obtain measures of breath alcohol, carbon monoxide, salivary cortisol; Conduct EKG's, pregnancy tests and urine tests.

Unit Education: High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Unit Experience: Some postsecondary work experience in a field related to the research being conducted required.
