Job Description: Duties include the following: provide foot patrol and monitor building entry/exit activity from a fixed location; interview patrons who attempt to leave the building with unauthorized materials and complete a Library Incident Report to be forwarded to Campus Police, Student Life, or the Greenville Police and Fire Departments; escort disruptive patrons from the building; provide escorts to staff and patrons in parking areas when requested; provide security for cash on hand; open and close the building to the public; recognize and report maintenance problems and safety hazards to the building manager; respond to all fire, sprinkler, heating and air-conditioning, and security alarms; and remove hazardous foreign or familiar objects. May be required to patrol at Laupus or Joyner Libraries.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalency and demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
