This position will manage the Natural Science Laboratory in support of the student users of UCCS. Ensure all anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics labs are properly organized, prepared, and maintained for classes. Troubleshoot lab equipment and instructional technology equipment in these facilities. Order supplies, stock and maintain inventory of disposable and durable items, and assist in the development and refinement of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics lab curriculum.

Keep the clinic and laboratory areas clean, organized, well maintained, and stocked with supplies on a daily basis. Interact with course faculty to assure that all items, equipment, and materials are present in time for their courses and to provide support during the time classes are convened and students are using these areas. Develop strategies to assure student participation. Assist in development and refinement of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics lab curriculum. Position is not expected to teach. Manage campus, local, and state inspections of teaching and research labs (e.g. HAZMAT, Biosafety).

Order teaching and research lab supplies, stock and maintain inventory of disposable and durable items. Issue, replace, and collect materials and instruments to/from students as needed using automated dispensary and inventory control procedures.

Maintain and service equipment, computers, and software related to anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics teaching and research labs. Supervise student employees and research assistants.

Minimum Qualifications: Two years experience maintaining and scheduling anatomy, physiology biomechanics, and/or engineering labs or maintaining labs in a closely related discipline. This experience must include ability or order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory, engage with students, service equipment, manage HAZMAT and Biosafety inspections, and participate with faculty in lab curriculum.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a natural science or technical discipline, such as biology, engineering, exercise science, or physiology. Highly organized, detail oriented and technically minded. Able to work efficiently and communicate effectively with colleagues. Experience with data acquisition systems (e.g. ADInstruments, Biopac). Experience with metabolic testing equpment (e.g. ParvoMedics, Medgraphics).
