The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Department of Medicine as an immediate opportunity for a Postdoctoral Associate, located at our Medical Campus. The individual will work on biochemical, cellular and animal models of telomere maintenance and DNA damage in aging and related diseases at the Dr. Ramiro E. Verdun laboratory. The Postdoctoral Associate will be expected to initiate experiments, collect and interpret the results of the experiments involved in the project and assist in preparation of protocols, grant applications and manuscripts.

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a closely related field of study. Must have competency in basic molecular and cellular biology techniques. Special consideration will be given to those with experience in biostatistics. Must possess a strong publication record and show evidence of independent scientific thinking. Patient safety is a top priority.
