The College of Liberal Arts invites applications for a renewable, non-tenure track, 10-month Lecturer position in the Department of History beginning August, 2017.

PhD in history is preferred, but ABDs will be given full consideration. Possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and be sensitive to the needs of and possess an interest in working with an ethnically and racially diverse student body.


Teach four 3 credit courses per semester. Teach sections of the lower-division survey of United States history as well as upper division offerings in African American history and/or the introductory course in African and African American Studies, depending on departmental needs. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach both halves of the U.S. survey.
