General Summary of Position:
This being an internal opportunity, only current UML Employees, irrespective of Bargaining units are eligible to apply for this position.

Under the general direction of the Senior Director of IT Services and Instructional Technology, the Manager of Instructional Technology serves as a leader to influence the use of instructional technologies. The role facilitates the transformation of teaching and learning at the university.

The position collaborates with strategic Academic Committees and the IT Leadership team to develop the overall plan and implementation of instructional technology across all departments. The Manager of Instructional Technology develops, evaluates and implements processes and support models for teaching and learning technologies to meet institutional strategic goals.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
-BA/BS Degree and 10 to 15 years relevant experience
including 3 to 5 years of experience managing staff resources and budget
-Collaborative, flexible, convergent thinker
-The ability to work effectively with diverse groups
-Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills
-Proficient in the use of tools and processes associated with instructional technology in a university setting
-Demonstrated project and program management experience
Demonstrated experience with instructional design

Other Considerations:
-Master's Degree in Education or Instructional Technology strongly preferred
-Experience implementing active learning methods and technologies
-Experience with cloud based technology delivery systems
