Campus Planner II
Responsible for management/coordination of the design and construction of new facilities and renovations at KSU. Responsibilities include development of capital project programs and project coordination from concept through planning preparation for bidding, construction inspection, and closeout.
Manage and coordinate the work of multiple professional firms, contractors, Plant Operations, and FDCS staff to ensure proper planning, design and construction of new facilities and renovations. Coordinate and conduct campus review of design documents and specifications to ensure adherence to campus design standards and compliance with Board of Regents criteria. Negotiate and prepare requests for proposals, change orders, consulting agreement contracts and construction documents. Approve invoices for payment. Attend meetings and prepare project status reports. Manage and coordinate activities of consultants for campus master planning to ensure the realization of long term goals and to meet campus mission. Collect and analyze data needed for space assignment and campus planning. Prepare and analyze campus requests for space modifications and/or changes in use. Assist with detailed migration planning and room utilization analysis in the planning and development of Capital Project Major and Minor requests.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering and 5+ years of professional/field exp; General knowledge of state and local construction regulations required OR equivalent combination of experience, training, and education.
Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, Windows based environment, and with AutoCAD. Knowledge of Board of Regents procedures, standards, and principles for pre-planning. Professional architectural or engineering license and certification.
