Job Description

Job Summary:

The Jr. IT Support Administrator candidates must have a proven track record in a fast paced technical customer support environment.

Job Duties:
  • Effective customer skills required via telephone and email to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by understanding and identifying the customer's complex networks.
  • Attempt first call case resolution, software/network troubleshooting and proactive support services.
  • Manage a diverse and complex scope of support issues directly related to the use, support and implementation of the company's core product "Online Backup/Disaster Recovery".
  • Share best practices with other team members to enhance the quality and efficiency of support services.
  • Effectively interact with other members of the team to provide solutions to complex technical issues.

Job Requirements and Experience:
  • Minimum 1+ years of proven experience in a customer support background gained ideally within a corporate or channel support environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Servers - Windows 2008/2012, Exchange 2007/2013 is preferred.
  • Experience with using backup and recovery applications is an advantage
  • Aptitude for solving problems and acting on own initiative
  • Strong team player, highly motivated with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to prioritize issues and manage time effectively, taking accountability for resolving customer issues
  • Able to work effectively within a global team, i.e. sharing knowledge, offering help
  • Ability to suggest alternative solutions, innovate and use past experience, to streamline operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work well within a team
  • Accurately process and record call transactions using designated tracking software
  • Previous technical support experience is a big bonus
