General Summary: The Department of Mathematics at the University of North Georgia is currently in search of an Assistant Professors of Mathematics - Tenure Track, Gainesville campus. The Department of Mathematics consists of 50 faculty members, and the Department offers degrees in Mathematics and Mathematics with Secondary Certification.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Assistant Professor will teach four (4) classes per semester and engagement in service and scholarly activities; Teaching assignments on the Oconee campus generally consist of Calculus and below since upper-level course to support the major in Mathematics are not taught on the Oconee campus.

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • A doctorate in Mathematics or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment.
  • Teaching excellence is a high priority.
