Seabees Learning Program Manager - Military Construction Subject Matter Expert
Location: Port Hueneme, CA is required.
The Learning Program Manager (LPM) Military Construction Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be assigned to the Seabee Readiness division of the Civil Engineering Corp Officer School (CECOS) Learning Center and will be responsible for providing specific analysis and expertise on US Navy NAVFAC processes involving real estate, planning, facility projects, economic analysis, and USMC facilities management for courses delivered by CECOS located at Port Hueneme, CA. The LPM SME will work closely with program sponsors, instructors, and the department head to establish and review training curriculum, use expertise to identify and communicate interrelationships of content and training courses; make recommendations to enhance the curriculum; determine length of time needed to teach content; identify valid references; interpret technical references for curriculum developers; and develop test items and practical activities that accurately assess student performance.
The position is a one-year full time position supporting Seabees construction force training as a Learning Program Manager SME. This job comes with all of the benefits of working for a veteran owned family-oriented company. Work will be onsite in government offices aboard a military installation. This is a full time 40 hour per week position working on government computer systems 7-3:30 Monday through Friday; no travel is anticipated.
Experience: The candidate must have a minimum of six (6) years of experience with the Naval Construction Force and an extensive and thorough knowledge of the laws, precedent cases, court decisions, regulations, programs, and policies involving the Department of the Navy's Military Construction, Special Project Construction, Economic Analysis, Facilities Planning, Real Estate, and Facilities Management programs. Personnel with specialties concerning NAVFAC specific processes in master planning, facility planning, regional planning, Military Construction (MILCON) planning, special project construction planning, safety site planning, economic analyses, and associated construction engineering educational backgrounds can successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
The LPM Military Construction SME must have experience working within the Operations and/or Training Department within a Naval Construction Force unit and will be looked upon to review technical content for CECOS Seabee Readiness courses.
Required Certification: None. Knowledge of NETC policies and the NETC Course Development and End-to-End Process is a very strong plus.
