JOB DESCRIPTION -Accounting Administrative Assistant
The job involves a variety of duties including the provision of administrative and financial support to RUBYHAS on a day-to-day basis. Experience in working with basic Accounting and bookkeeping skills are essential.
• Assist accounting department in recording, reconciling and auditing accounting
• Prepare and disburse payments to vendors.
• Post transactions involving cash receipts, disbursements and/or
Accounts payable and receivable to ledger accounts.
• Assists the accountant in the preparation of financial statements,
Cost reports and bank reconciliations as needed.
• Interpret contracts provisions in order to identify allowable/no allowable
• Check and review audited vouchers to ensure accuracy and
Conformance to established accounting procedures.
• Provide technical assistance on the preparation of reimbursable
Documents to the contractors, subcontractors or other agencies.
•Performs other miscellaneous duties assigned by the office manager/bookkeeper to support the accounting department.
•Managing billing and receivables.
•Receive payments from various sources.
•Implement and maintain organized filling systems.
.Entry Level Skills and Qualifications:
The administrative assistant will be obligated to possess the following abilities, aptitude and qualifications to be eligible to perform mandated tasks:
- A certificate of post-secondary education, such as associate degree, exclusively in accounting, office administration, or other relevant appropriate branch of study
- Work experience in an account payable and bookkeeping setting for at least one year.
- Exhibit self-motivation and steadfastness
- Should display proficiency in finding resolutions to problems
- Outstanding knowledge of specialized industry accounting principles.
- Experience with Quick Books accounting software.
- High energy level, creativity and flexibility.
