The College of Fine Arts and Design is a center of excellence for the arts and design, as well as a center of innovation for improving and promoting arts education. Founded in 2001, the college combines the experience of Oklahoma’s oldest public educational institution with groundbreaking thinking about the role of the arts on the 21st century. Lecturer provides a quality learning experience for students. Lecturer faculty perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college. The relationship of the Lecturer faculty member to the student is one of teacher and facilitator of learning.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:
Lecturers will teach a range of classes in contemporary music performance, contemporary music production, and contemporary music business.
Examples of contemporary music performance courses include applied lessons, live performance, music theory, and aural skills.
Examples of contemporary music production courses include studio recording, DAW classes in ProTools, Logic, and Ableton, and additional contemporary production courses.
Examples of contemporary music business courses include general music business, tour management, artist management, publishing, label operations, music culture, and other music business topics as required.
