Overview

The Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination (LISD) at the Woodrow Wilson School seeks a Research Specialist I to work in a technical support role in conjunction with the LISD team. This individual will contact and communicate with external parties and participants involved with LISD related activities, assist in coordinating working groups and interact with speakers and participants in LISD events.



This is a one year term position with an anticipated start date of June 2017.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting with specialized research, writing, and editing of LISD documents and reports;
  • Conducting research for the director in relation to the varied LISD projects;
  • Traveling to LISD sponsored international meetings and conferences;
  • Interacting with LISD associates and coordinating student team work assignments in preparation for, during and after LISD conferences.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, degree in social sciences preferred;

Excellent research, writing and speaking skills and the ability to appropriately interact with representatives of foreign countries and companies.

The candidate should be self-motivated, well-organized, able to meet deadlines and work well as a team member as well as independently.



Written and spoken fluency in additional languages preferred, but not required.

The final candidate will be required to complete a background check successfully.
