Office of Admissions at Florida State University.
Responsible for the day to day operations of telephone communication services and the front desk for the Office of Admissions and Records.
Responsible for the day to day operations of telephone communications services for the Office of Admissions and Records, which includes the Office of Admissions, the University Registrar, and the Visitor Center. Also responsible for the day to day operations at the Office of Admissions' front desk. This includes daily management and hiring of two USPS and several OPS employees. Acts as the liaison between the Office of Admissions and Records and the Office of Telecommunications. Assists with email communication on an as needed basis.
Manages the quality of telephone communications. Responsible for effectively and accurately disseminating information about FSU to University personnel, high school counselors, college/university counselors, prospective students and their agents and current and former students.
Counsels prospective students and their agents regarding admission standards and procedures.
Manages the development, coordination and evaluation of the telephone communication system and operational strategies which will best disseminate admission and registration policies and practices.
Manages the content of SharePoint, the office wide intranet information dissemination and productivity tool. Recommends improvements and assists in the design of new intranet productivity tool. Assists with managing Preview database and answering inquiries related to Preview via phone and email.
Responsible for the confidential files of prospective students and applicants to the University and adequate safekeeping of this information. Responsible for ensuring the rules of confidentiality requirements are adhered to by communication staff and other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree and one year of experience, or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to five years. Experience should be relevant and related to the responsibilities of the job. Qualified candidates will possess the ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously. Experience counseling and/or providing expertise and advice is required. Qualified candidates will have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or comparable software.

A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of experience related to the responsibilities of the job are preferred. Applicants should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and should possess a strong sense of initiative while managing multiple responsibilities concurrently. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Previous supervision experience.
Anticipated Salary Range
At or near $29.000.00.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.
