Summary of Duties:
The position supports the work of the Division of Behavioral Health Recovery (DBHR). The work location for this position is Olympia, WA. This position will report to the Youth and Family Behavioral Health Supervisor.

The Youth Liaison Manager position provides leadership in the areas of youth engagement and support. Acts as a liaison among/between DSHS headquarters staff and Behavioral Health Organizations (BHOs) staff and youth professionals.
Provides guidance throughout the System of Care and supports the work of DBHR to create collaboration between Behavioral Health Organizations (BHOs) service providers, state and local partners and youth organizations to assure equal participation and partnership in all areas.

Under the direction of the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) designee, the Manager position works, as part of the Child, Youth and Family Behavioral Health Unit. This position also participates in the Office of Consumer Partnership by providing system wide consumer voice. The position provides formal and informal leadership, education and decision making to enhance a family led and youth driven system based on System of Care values and principles with the intended benefit of improved outcomes for youth and families receiving services through DBHR and other child serving systems.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
