Associate Dean of Students for Student Support Services
Provide leadership and oversight for a campus-wide student case management program that addresses the needs of students who are experiencing significant difficulties related to mental health, physical health, and/or psycho-social adjustment. Provide direct case management services including interventions, referrals, and follow-up services. Work in close collaboration with faculty, faculty advisors, health care providers, Student Affairs colleagues and parents. Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Reports to VP/Dean of Students.
Master's or more advanced degree in social work preferred. Master’s degree in education, counseling, public health or related field required, with at least five years of post-Master's experience in higher education or closely related setting. Demonstrated knowledge of case management systems and experience managing response to crisis situations.
Specific Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge and understanding of treatment programs, mental health terminology, clinical practice in a higher education setting, and student and medical privacy regulations. Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information to multiple stakeholders. Excellent written, administrative, and organizational skills.
