Under the general direction of the University Bursar, the Cashiering Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Cashiering department.


The incumbent is responsible for staff training; monitoring workload distribution of the Cashering staff; all fiscal aspects of Cashiering, which collects approximately $300 million annually. This position works closely with CASHNet to ensure all payment systems (Cashiering, ePayment, eMarket) interface with PeopleSoft student/financial systems and are recorded with the University's back accounts. Incumbent recommends enhancements to CASHNet modules, and oversees testing of new CASHNet releases. This position also administers the university identification card system, Tower Card, which issues cards to students, faculty/staff, and other various customers. Also works with flywire with regards to international student payments and US Bank representatives in issuing the Tower Card Maxx (student/staff ID and Visa debit card). The Cashiering Manager manages staff as well as student assistants. Responsible for audits of satellite cashiering operations.

This is a position in the CSU - Management Personnel Plan (MPP), and serves at the pleasure of the President. This position will require adherence to University compliance training such as: Conflict of Interest and Ethics, AB 1825 Sexual Harassment Prevention, Information Security, and Injury and Illness Prevention Program. The person hired for this position may be required to complete an outside employment disclosure statement in accordance with Title V of the California Code of Regulations.
