Degree Audit Specialist, Registrar's Office
The Degree Audit Specialist will analyze, maintain and update the university's degree audit system to meet the existing business needs of the University. The incumbent will interpret degree audit reports and validate data; research, troubleshoot and correct data anomalies in the degree audit report, as well as the student records module in PeopleSoft; work closely with the Degree Audit Director on system development and modifications to the degree audit programs to improve functionality; and will translate curricular policies, procedures and programs into code. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the encoding and maintenance of all university graduation requirements, rules and policies in the university's degree audit system;
- Analyze complex degree requirements and interpret the encoding necessary to create a comprehensive degree audit report and a four-year planner for each program;
- Validate and troubleshoot anomalies in the system and perform the required research to improve system functionality;
- Engage in comprehensive testing during all related system upgrades;
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies in data between the degree audit report and the student academic record;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related technical field, and a minimum of three-five (3-5) years of experience in an Enrollment Management department with experience in university curriculum issues and business processes is required. Experience encoding in an automated degree audit system preferred. Familiarity with a student information system preferred. The incumbent may be required to work evenings and/or weekends, as needed. Occasional travel to conferences is required.
