Duties: The Recruitment Specialist recruits academically qualified students for the College of Liberal and Professional Studies (LPS) programs, counsels them through the admissions process, and ensures their matriculation. The Specialist responds to inquiries, staffs recruitment events, identifies prospective students who meet admissions criteria, participates on admissions review committees, and follows up with admitted students to guarantee their enrollment at LPS. The Specialist helps prospective students and applicants navigate the application and admissions process and coordinates closely with staff in admissions and student records to assist enrolled students with their matriculation and initial orientation.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education or experience, is required. 2-3 years of experience in sales, recruitment, or admissions; experience with continuing and professional higher education clients in the arts and sciences and experience highly preferred. Knowledge of Penn campus, facilities, services, and policies highly preferred. Ability to utilize database systems and Internet resources to conduct research and generate reports. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to convey professionalism and enthusiasm when communicating with a wide range of audiences, from high school students to LPS professional clients and alumni.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Position involves some local, regional national travel, may be a possibility for international travel and occasionally requires the candidate to work evenings and weekends for recruiting events.
