Duties: The Master in Law (M.L.) program is an innovative degree program offered at Penn Law with the mission of providing legal knowledge across disciplines to enable highly qualified students and professionals from fields outside of the law to acquire an education in the law, thus advancing their scholarly pursuits and professional acumen.
Reporting to the Director of the Master in Law Program, the Assistant Director engages with all aspects of the program: recruitment, admission, matriculation, and student services as we attract and educate M.L. students of the highest caliber. The Assistant Director represents the program via public presentations, in writing, and in frequent engagement with professional and academic networks. Additionally, the Assistant Director runs programs to enrich the academic experience for the M.L. students.

Qualifications: BA/BS or the equivalent in work experience; 2-3 years of administrative experience required. Experience in higher ed admissions, event planning, and/or project management is strongly preferred. Ability to work well with others in a service-oriented environment; positive attitude and interest in getting the work of the team done are essential. Must be able to demonstrate ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks; excellent attention to detail; flexibility. Excellent technical skills including familiarity with using social network platforms for sharing M.L. news and events are required, as is knowledge of Excel, Power Point, html, spreadsheets and data management. Knowledge of Penn Law specific technologies and web development tools is highly desirable. Must be able to work under pressure with time constraints; rare but occasional need for evening staffing of events.
