Controls Engineer EE - PLC design
This position is full time / relocation provided / established and well known consumer goods manufacturer. We are hiring a junior to mid level BSEE to support & improve our automated controls systems. We build our own & customize off the shelf picking, packing type of production equipment. This is a smaller very profitable division of a $4billion dollar consumer goods company.
In this position you will support the existing automation environment, design changes to existing equipment and make improvements to the automation processes.
Specify, design, implement, debug and document
electrical controls and instrumentation for new PLC based, high
speed, high volume, multiple small part assembly, process and packaging
equipment, in compliance with company, national and international standards.
Will support manufacturing by assisting with difficult troubleshooting problems
on electrical control systems.
• The candidate will have the opportunity to applying technologies that include power
distribution, motion control, robotics, industrial application of various
sensors, machine vision, high speed data acquisition, MMI , manufacturing
information systems, software and hardware development across various platforms
(PLC's , PC, etc).
• The candidate must know how to write and interpret technical specifications,
have experience in project planning, tracking and excellent interpersonal
• The candidate should possess a BSEE and a 3-5 years experience in
the application of PLCs and PCs for control, instrumentation and data
acquisition in a manufacturing environment.
• The candidate shall have experience with Windows Office and PLC ladder logic.
(Siemens 7 PLC knowledge is desired).
