Position Information
The SRA will be part of a laboratory where new techniques and areas of expertise are constantly being developed and established in the laboratory. It is expected the SRA will assist in the development and maintenance of these approaches. Under the PI's supervision the SRA will perform research to elucidate the mechanisms of action of bacterial toxins, and be involved in a variety of activities.

Minimum Requirements
Working knowledge and experience of library preparation from DNA and RNA templates for Next Gen sequencing; Working knowledge of CRISPR, microinjection of mosquito eggs and the ability to generate transgenic mosquitoes; Experience DNA cloning, RT-PCR and PCR; Ability to do word processing, spreadsheet, data analysis and graphics; Ability to maintain research data that can be easily analyzed; Three years work experience in a research laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or other closely related field; Experience in mosquito rearing and maintenance; Five years work experience in a research laboratory is preferred.
