Financial Aid Process Coordinator
The Financial Aid Process Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the daily import and export of financial aid data between state and federal financial aid agencies, processing and troubleshooting applications which track and award aid, as well as generation of daily reports for the operations team. The Coordinator will also serve as a counselor to students and parents during peak times within the financial aid department.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or year-for-year exchange for equivalent experience; a combination of professional computer systems and financial aid. Minimum one year of professional full-time experience in the financial aid field.
Responsibilities: Modify programs to create enhancements to maintain efficient functionalities within financial aid. Assist in the creation of new technical processes, policies, and procedures to ensure current with federal and state requirements. Transfer of files from federal and state agencies. Conversion of data files for import/export. Provide operational and trouble-shooting support for ITDS operations, university personnel, support staff, and outside agencies. Research, implement, compile and analyze financial aid data. Create and document queries and reports for compliance and daily usage. Perform data analysis to improve financial aid daily processes and procedures. Verify information against financial aid regulations. Assist with establishment of notifications, processes, and procedures. Counsel students and parents regarding educational and financial decisions. Assist in presentations to high school presentations, workshops, Summer Orientation, etc. Perform other duties as required/assigned.
