Tenure-track Position in Biopsychology, Physiological Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or Behavioral Neuroscience

 

 

The Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty appointment as assistant professor commencing September 2017 to teach at New Jersey City University (NJCU) William J. Maxwell College of Arts & Sciences.

 

 

 

Candidates should have an earned doctorate in Psychology or a related field, or provide evidence it will be fully completed within the academic year in which they were hired. Candidates should provide evidence of excellence in teaching and an active research agenda that would involve undergraduates at a liberal arts institution such as NJCU. The successful applicant will be required to teach both basic and advanced courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, will be expected to develop new programs and course offerings for the Psychology Department, and maintain active scholarly engagement in their respective field.

 

 

 

Candidates who have studied the interaction of the brain and behavior and have related research experience are preferred. Applicants with an interest and expertise in Biopsychology, Physiological Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or Behavioral Neuroscience are encouraged to apply. In extraordinary cases, as determined by the University, a terminal degree may not be required.
