Operations Data Center Team (ODCT) Enterprise Information Systems Support
Collaborative, facilitative team member, taking initiative to identify, report, track and fix issues. Documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure resolution in a timely manner. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Technical Experience Task Requirements.
Candidate will provides Data Center, Network monitoring, along with basic server troubleshooting 24 hours a day/7 days a week/365 days a year, monitoring approximately 275 devices,
Operational Data Center Team (ODCT) Support.
•Monitor Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).
•Monitor computer equipment in main ODC, along with computer equipment located at secondary location onsite, and local network switches located throughout the buildings at DLA Troop Support/DLA Information Operations Philadelphia.
•Run application checks via local network and external cable connection to check remote access availability via Juniper, Virtual Private Network (VPN) availability, CITRIX, review security and system logs, and other checks.
•Troubleshoot and manage the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems (picture, volume, on/off remote control settings).
•Monitor ODC electrical power, air conditioning chillers, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) system alerts, generator alerts, and other critical alarms, and display monitor alerts.
•Ensure environmental conditions are in tolerance (air conditioning, humidity, temperature in computer room).
•Respond to ODC or building alarms, Monitor and enforce security of ODC, and adjacent administrative areas and immediately report any breaches to the base Security Office, local IA office and government POC.
•Generate info-spots for any major hardware, applications, or network connectivity related issues, in timeline required from documentation that will be provided.
•Act as the primary point of contact for all trouble service requests during non-prime hours.
•CompTIA Security +
•Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician on Windows 7.
•Public Trust Level IT - III (minimum) eligible
•US Citizenship required
Previous DLA experience highly desired
