Job Summary: This position is a combination of work distributed between two of the College of Letters and Sciences Student Academic Affairs offices; Academic Information Management and Academic Deans' Services. The largest portion of work involves exception requests. The daily processing of student requests for exceptions to the curriculum will be handled by the person in this role. The person in role will also look for patterns in the types of requests that are made and make suggestions for how to reduce the requests. The second biggest responsibility of this job focuses on degree clearance. With nearly 3500 L&S students graduating each year this will be a significant portion of the work load. Degree clearance involves running audit reports to make sure that those students who believe they are eligible for graduation have met all the criteria. Communications is the third largest role for this position. The vision is that since this position has autonomy and discretionary decision making the person in the role will be able to respond to basic questions and triage to our Deans questions that require higher-level interventions. This position will also be part of the overall Deans' Services team and assist with other special projects as needed.

Schedule Comment: Standard schedule is 7:45-4:30 with a 45 minute lunch.
