Director of Foundational Lawyering Skills/Visiting Assistant Skills Professor

 

This full-time visiting position at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law involves a mix of both teaching and administration of the required second-year course, Foundational Lawyering Skills. 

The responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • updating the course materials and syllabus;
  • primary teaching responsibility for weekly lectures, although limited assistance from full-time faculty may be available;
  • hiring, training, scheduling, and semester-long oversight of skills lab instructors;
  • grading of final assessment;
  • monitoring of weekly attendance and performance in skills labs;
  • responding to student and instructor inquiries throughout the semester; and
  • evaluation of instructors in the skills labs.
