Job Description

Ultimately responsible for content and production of video packages and news coverage. Responsible for story or coverage content. Assigns the completion of stories, workload assignment and deadlines for assignments. Attends weekly SNC leadership meetings to report progress and plan convergence projects.

Reviews final video productions prior to airing or uploading onto the WEB. Leads and participates in the regular production of Cavalier Sports Report and College Board of Trustee meetings. Other duties as may be assigned.

Required Skills

High-school graduate or equivalent required.

Must be enrolled in six (6) credit hours at JCCC each semester with a cumulative 2.0 GPA.

Must have reliable transportation for off-campus videography assignments.

Completion of a minimum of nine (9) hours of college-level English or journalism courses preferred. Enrolled in or successfully completed JOUR 247 or similar college-level advanced production course (transcript required if not taken at JCCC).

Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Must be able to edit quickly and pay attention to details.




Required Experience

* Previous supervisory experience preferred.

* Previous experience in video production also preferred.
