Teaching Postdoctoral Scholar

Essential Job Duties: This position will provide much needed support for the teaching/development of courses for undergraduate and graduate students at BTEC. Since BTEC opened in 2007, enrollment has grown rapidly to over 800 students per academic year.
Department Required Skills: Ph.D. in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, or a related field; Laboratory experience in upstream bioreactors or downstream bioprocessing. Proficiency with MS Office suite, specifically MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint. Good written and verbal communication skills, and particularly the ability to present information clearly and concisely in oral and written form. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with students from the university. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Knowledge of laboratory safety and biosafety practices.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: One-year college level industrial microbiology, biotechnology or bioprocessing teaching experience in a classroom and laboratory setting.
