Duties: Oversee the budget of the Provost Administrative, Interdisciplinary Center, and Penn Global Center (~ $120M+), including budget, closing, and capital planning. Oversee and provide guidance on budgeting, reporting, analysis, purchasing, accounts payable, payroll and journal entries for Provost Center BA's. Oversee budgets of all departments within the Provost Centers that do not have their own business administrators, working with PAA departmental staff to develop budgets and manage expenditures. Provide financially oriented strategic oversight & operational guidance in supporting Education, Research, Faculty and Global portfolios within Provost Office. Support financial aspects of Human Capital Management on behalf of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, ensuring the upkeep and safeguarding of human resources and payroll electronic recordkeeping for faculty and academic support staff. Create strategic planning models for scenario planning and provide financial analysis and reporting to enable strategic decision making. Manage and monitor all Provost discretionary funds, including contingency, faculty development funds and centrally held endowments. Budget and manage all Provost Office grant, gift and endowment funds. Coordinate financial system training and serve as center-wide BEN resource, assisting and developing training plans for users as needed. Provide guidance and when needed serve as back-up to broader Provost Centers to ensure continuity of operations.

Qualifications: A Master's Degree, preferably in finance, accounting or related field and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Increasing levels of responsibilities in finance related positions. Strong knowledge and experience in finance and budgeting, preferably in a higher education setting. Strong financial analytical skills. Previous supervisory experience. Strong oral and written communications skills. Strong computer skills. Knowledge of University finance and budget strongly preferred.
