Unit Job Summary: The Associate Director, Career Management is part of a global Career Services team providing career management support to Chicago Booth MBA students and alumni. This role, based at the Gleacher Center, focuses primarily on students in the Evening MBA (~1200), Weekend MBA (~300), and Executive MBA (~540 globally) programs as well as alumni (47,000+). The Associate Director provides individual career coaching, creates and delivers career management programming (workshops), facilitates panels, and sources expert alumni and corporate volunteers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Assess alumni and student needs, develop, and implement solutions to meet those needs. - Join cross-Booth coordinated efforts in the service of designing and implementing strategic solutions. - Conceptualize, innovate, develop, and deliver career management programming to small and large groups of students (ranging from 5 to 300). - Coach domestic and international students on appropriate career management and job search skills in one-on-one, small, and large group settings. - Analyze markets and trends as they relate to the job search (career change) and career advancement (promotion) processes. - Solicit and analyze student feedback and evaluations and help strategize with Career Management team, student organizations, or other Booth staff to determine program offerings and innovations. - Partner with several industry, regional, and/or functional student groups to assist in planning and delivering career-management related programming. - Manage or lead various special projects/programs that provide career related support.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in business, counseling, or related field strongly preferred.

Unit Experience: A minimum five years of experience in business or higher education required. Experience with, knowledge of, or demonstrated interest in business careers required. Experience in executive search, career management, recruiting, or student services fields preferred.

Unit Job Function Competencies: Strong writing, verbal, and presentation skills required. Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and project management skills required. Significant knowledge of and experience using on-line resources, spreadsheet, and presentation software required. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Deep commitment to customer service and the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work successfully in a fast-paced environment required. Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated initiative, and the ability to work both independently and within a team required. Ability to work on evenings and weekends regularly required. Ability to travel up to 15% required. An understanding of and appreciation for the needs and concerns of a diverse MBA student body preferred.
