Unit Job Summary: The Research Professional will assist with the research project of Chicago Booth faculty on scalable computation and estimation with large-scale dynamic choice models. The Research Professional will contribute in all aspects of the project, which includes model building, implementation and checking. Additionally, this individual will contribute in disseminating the results of the project through talks and research publications. This position is expected to begin in June, 2017 and last for one year. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Construct data sets in assistance of faculty research projects. - Create models of research findings. - Prepare reports on research progress. - Analyze and organize statistical findings. - Perform mathematical analysis. - Write and edit research documentation.

Unit Education: Bachelor's level degree or higher in statistical/data science or other related field required by start date.

Unit Experience: At least one year of research or other directly related experience required.

Unit Job Function Competencies: Strong computational skills and familiarity with R required. Knowledge of fundamental statistical methods and related optimization methods required. Familiarity with dynamic choice models in economics required. Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills, in addition to proven organizational skills, are required. Ability to seek out, coordinate, and appropriately disseminate information required. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python is preferred.
