Degree Certification Specialist I
Coordinate student programs and/or services to assist and/or promote students, to assist with recruitment, growth, success, retention or extracurricular development of the student. Review and maintain student records and generate report for area. Coordinate the development and/or preparation of informational materials relevant to students or alumni. Recruit or coordinate the recruitment of students for programs and/or projects. Coordinate student related programs and events for college/school to include (but not limited to) open-houses, award ceremonies, career days, and student organizations. May assist in educational-related activities related to the accreditation process.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:
Evaluates degree requirements and certifies undergraduate degrees at the University. Communicates with University personnel and undergraduate students regarding status of graduation applications.
Reviews undergraduate student applications and determines eligibility for graduation candidacy.
Reviews processed applications to determine graduation eligibility once prior semester in-progress grades are updated.
Determines final eligibility for degree certification once final semester grades are processed.
Runs degree audit reports and explains results to advisors and students.
Communicates to students by letters, phone calls, e-mail, and personal contact about their graduation eligibility.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Salary: $15.20 per hour ($31,634.45 annually)
