The Department of Neurology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to help with acute and chronic care of patients with neuromuscular disorders (70-85%), as well as to take care of patients with general neurological conditions at the University of Colorado Anschutz Outpatient Clinic and University of Colorado Hospital.

Job Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to, acute and chronic outpatient care of neuromuscular disorder patients, including symptomatic therapy and health maintenance. Will participate in clinical trials of neuromuscular therapies; and education of nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists and medical students, and neurology residents. Will give periodic lectures to patients and others regarding neuromuscular disorders and related treatments. Will serve as first contact for clinician level patient communications.


Required Qualifications:
• PA or NP degree and a
• Colorado Medical license

Preferred Qualifications:
Significant experience with neurological patients, especially neuromuscular patients, and/or experience in management of chronic diseases in as subspecialty environment. Experience in primary care medicine is desirable. Must be willing to care for patients with a chronic, sometimes severe illness.
