Job Description
The Admissions Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist II to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Disseminate information to students, staff, and faculty concerning all aspects of Graduate admissions and policies and procedures of the Toulouse Graduate School.
* Work directly with students (domestic and International) during the application processing for applicants to apply for admission to Masters and Doctoral degree programs at UNT.
* Data entry of the application materials and transcripts into the EIS system (thereby beginning a student record).

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent and two years of general office or clerical experience. Substitution of education for experience allowed. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:
* Skill in telephone etiquette and courteous communication with public, verbally and in writing.
* Skill in evaluating facts or situation to route calls/customers appropriately.
* Basic MS Office skills.
* Skill in the operation of a variety of office machines including, personal computers, telephones and copiers.
* Skill in filing and recordkeeping.
* Skill in English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
* Skill in basic math.
* Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:


* Experience with UNT's Student Information System.
