We encourage applications from all qualified persons.</p><p><strong>Job Summary/Basic Function:</strong></p><p>The American Studies Department at Dickinson College invites applications for a two-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor of American Studies.</p> <p>The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in American Studies, with a specialty in Africana/African Diasporic studies, as her or his major area of research and teaching interest. A focus on visual studies is welcome. In addition to teaching within his or her field of expertise, the candidate we seek will also be able to teach core courses in the American Studies curriculum.
