West Virginia University School of Medicine, a state-of-the-art facility with strong institutional support, is seeking an American Board of Radiology certified radiologist with fellowship training in diagnostic neuroradiology.  Possession or eligibility for the CAW is required.  Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license.  Candidate status can be a recent graduate of a strong teaching program, with an interest in teaching, as the school cultivates an excellent environment for research and teaching. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications. 

West Virginia University Hospital Department of Radiology is a premier state-of-the-art facility.  Currently, a total of 6 CTs, 4 MRs, 2 PET/CTs, and 2 biplane angiography suites provide level 1 trauma and comprehensive tertiary care and imaging, including 320 detector MDCT and 3T MRI.  As a JCAHO certified primary stroke center, the neuroradiology section is also one of a handful of centers nationwide offering and performing functional perfusion imaging and 4d-CTA on all patients presenting with acute ischemic stroke.

The Section of Neuroradiology at WVU currently has seven physicians covering the service and performs the complete range of diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology procedures.  The section is also part of several multi-center clinical trials and registries with ample opportunity to participate in ongoing research projects.  Responsibilities will include providing excellent patient care as well as teaching medical students and radiology residents and fellows, and opportunities for clinical research exist.

U.S. News & World Report has ranked West Virginia University Hospitals #1 in the state for the past several years.  WVUH provides the most advanced level of care available to the citizens of West Virginia and bordering states.  Major expansion is underway to Ruby Memorial Hospital, including a 10-story tower and an additional 114 licensed beds, which opened in early 2017.
