Associate Professor of Criminal Justice
The Criminal Justice Studies Program at the University of South Dakota invites applicants for a full-time, tenure track position at the Assistant to Associate Professor rank. Area of specialization is law enforcement. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to teach corrections or penology and may be asked to deliver some courses online.

We seek a candidate who possesses a commitment to excellence in teaching, student mentoring, and research within the context of a strong liberal arts program. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research agenda, share in the work of a vibrant department and apply his or her professional expertise in the service of the university, community and discipline. The CJUS program enjoys major endowments that support faculty research and extensive international/domestic off-campus study opportunities for its majors.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in criminal justice on the date of appointment. A J.D. or master's degree alone is insufficient qualification for this position. This is a nine-month, tenure track position with a start date of August 22, 2018.
