Job Summary The is a specialized, professional position with exciting opportunities in Web development and scientific programming for the management, transfer, storage, and dissemination of clinical and omics data for the Informatics Core of a large NIH systems biology contract, The Malaria Host-Pathogen Interactions Center (MaHPIC, http://www.systemsbiology.emory.edu/index.html). The successful candidate will work closely with an established team at UGA, in collaboration with clinical and omics researchers and mathematical modelers based at multiple institutions, mainly in Athens and Atlanta. During The MaHPIC's first four years, the Informatics Core has established a strong infrastructure. This is an exciting time to be involved in the rapid forward progress of biological and computational investigation. Additional duties include opportunities to interact with a diverse array of researchers in the international community; designing and implementing GUIs and computational tools for biomedical and bioinformatics research; and presenting work at internal meetings.
