Advertised Salary:

Minimum $60,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Plus UW Medical Foundation



Degree and Area of Specialization:

MD; Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology with relevant experience in clinical practice, and fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology. A strong interest in adult strabismus is desirable.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Completion of residency training in a U.S. Ophthalmology Accredited Program required. Completion of a Pediatric Ophthalmology fellowship required. Must have relevant experience in clinical practice and have interest in medical student and resident education.

Candidates for associate professor (CHS) or full professor (CHS) rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the Clincal Health Science (CHS) track.



License or certificate:

Wisconsin medical license, DEA license certification, credentialed with UW Health managed care plans, credentialing and staff privileges at UW Hospital must be completed by start date.



Position Summary:

This position will primarily see patients at Madison UW Hospital and Clinics and will aslo be involved in a teaching component in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. This position may require some clincial trials research.
