The Development Director will work with the Assistant Dean for Development for the College of Arts and Sciences to develop and implement key fundraising strategies primarily for the sciences within the College, but may include social sciences, humanities and the arts.

Areas of Focus: College of Arts and Sciences; The College is the University of Miami’s largest academic unit and is housed in 25 buildings located throughout the Coral Gables campus. The College comprises of 20 departments, eighteen interdisciplinary programs, two Centers and a museum.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Five years of demonstrated successful experience in major gift fundraising and fundraising management, preferably in higher education or health care. Equivalent combinations of education/experience may be considered.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills are necessary along with the ability to be highly organized, creative, energetic, and assertive and exhibit the independent judgment and personal integrity necessary to carry out a senior management role in fundraising.
