Provide administrative support for the International Affairs Program (IAF), assisting the Director and providing support for faculty. The coordinator will be responsible for all communication efforts including maintaining and updating the website (and any Facebook and twitter accounts) and publicizing course offerings and special programs. The coordinator will support all special events and assists in enrollment, retention, and curricular issues; budgeting; and in maintaining and processing records and teaching schedules.
The Coordinator serves as the primary contact in the unit for student and faculty support and provides general office management. This may include maintaining student records, hiring and supervising work-study students, ordering supplies including textbooks, ensuring the maintenance of equipment, and overseeing incoming and outgoing mail. Assist with curricular processes and provide on-going communication with faculty and students in a helpful and professional manner.
Manage the unit's budget and handle all related budget activities to insure that funds are appropriately utilized and recorded. Prepare regular budget update reports for the Director.
Bachelor’s degree required. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience preferably in an academic environment. Foreign language skills, international travel/work experience, or cross-cultural experience preferred.
Should enjoy working with diverse populations including students, parents, faculty and community organizations. Excellent computer (Excel, Word, Publishing, Web), written and oral communication skills required.
Individual must work well independently, have good time management skills, and be able to multi-task. Individual must demonstrate the ability to set goals, take initiative, follow through and organize effectively. Individual must be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize during busier periods.
