Summary of Duties:
The Institute of Biological Chemistry at Washington State University currently has a position open for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Peters' research group in bioinformatics and genomics. We are a diverse group that studies biological nitrogen fixation using various approaches such as biochemistry, genetics, comparative genomics, differential transcriptomics, environmental surveys, and evolutionary biology. The postdoctoral position would involve being a part of a multiple institution effort to engineer symbiotic associations to enhance delivery of fixed nitrogen to crop plants (https://synthsym.org/). Required Qualifications:
• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Molecular Biology (with emphasis on computational analysis) or equivalent
• Expertise in multivariate statistics and computational biology pipelines
• Effective written and oral skills, which include communication with others from different fields and backgrounds.
