Summary of Duties
This is a temporary 4-month position. Under the supervision of the Director of Instructional design Services, and often working in small teams, this team member works directly with faculty and staff to design, develop, and deliver technology-based educational media and interactive learning experiences. Exercises skills in current educational and internet technology, including major learning management systems, social media, office and multimedia software, and web development. Collaborates and coordinates with IDS team members. Manages individual and group projects, particularly new online course development. Maintains and assists in improving standards, processes and procedures for educational media production. Develops strong, cooperative relationships with campus entities.

Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in instructional design, technology, education plus one year of experience directly related to job duties or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling five years. Minimum of six months of experience with HTML or Dreamweaver is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of and work-related experience in distance learning and using learning management systems.

Knowledge of information technologies and social media.

Skills in using web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Demonstrable skills (such as a portfolio) in developing and delivering creative learning experiences.

Ability to work as a team, lead small groups, and manage projects.

Ability to plan, manage, produce, direct, implement, and evaluate on-line course production.

Ability to use computers and operating systems, such as Windows and Mac OS, with great competence.

Ability to use a variety of distance education technologies including major learning management systems (e.g. Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle), office and multimedia software. Instructure Canvas experience is preferred.
-Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
-Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.

Working Conditions

M-F part-time between the hours of 8am-5pm, some evenings or weekends may be needed,
