Job Description

The School of Communication & Media at Montclair State University invites applications for teaching in the Fundamentals of Speech program. The course meets the general education communication requirement at Montclair State and serves a population of just under 16,000 students.

Instructors assist students in developing an understanding and appreciation of the communication process. They guide students on the preparation, research, and delivery of multiple oral presentations. Emphasis should be placed on both civic and professional success through the exploration and development of strong communication skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

All instructors must have a minimum of a Master's degree in Communication or closely related field and relevant teaching experience. A background teaching public speaking and other communication courses is highly preferred. Instructors are required to participate in annual assessment efforts of the program and other initiatives designed to improve the structure and function of the course.

Salary Range
$3,900.00 per 3 credit course per semester
