An employee in this class is responsible for informing students about academic requirements and assisting students in the selection of courses. Knowledge of different degree programs and general university regulations is required. Work is performed under the supervision of the Director.   Training and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to areas of assignment and three years of administrative and appropriate program experience required; experience in working with diverse student population preferred; working knowledge of BANNER required; proficiency in MS Office preferred; excellent verbal and written communication skills.   Illustrative Examples of Work: Advises students providing academic procedures, policies, goals and objectives, and problem resolution; administers student support to enrolled and prospective students, such as degree program advisement, graduation processing, petitioning, withdrawals, information sessions, receptions, and student orientations; maintains up-to-date knowledge of rules and policies effecting specific degree programs; answers questions regarding individual schools and colleges, as well as the University; performs other duties, as required.   Posting Date: 04-03-2017   Closing Date:
