**Mathematics & Computer Science: Visiting Instructor of Mathematics - 000080MT**

The Department of Mathematics & Computer Science at the University of Richmond, a highly-selective, private, liberal arts institution, invites applications for a one year Visiting Instructor position in Mathematics to begin August 2017. We will consider candidates with any background in mathematics. An MS degree in mathematics or a closely related field is required; a Ph.D. is desirable but not required.

The successful applicant is expected to commit to highly effective teaching at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates about how they will support students from groups traditionally underrepresented in the sciences.

Applicants will be asked to submit electronically a cover letter, a CV, a statement describing their teaching experience and interests, and names of three references. The teaching statement should highlight the applicant's plans or goals for supporting inclusivity and diversity in the context of an undergraduate liberal arts institution. References will receive an automated email asking them to submit their reference letters to this web site. At least two of the reference letters should address the candidate's teaching experience and/or potential. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
